Camping
Welcome Campers.  Outlined in this section we have put together the necessary basic information on camping, camping gear and camp locations throughout the USA.  We have provided a basic camping gear list and a camping list for you to use.
 

Camping Basics

These are just the basic guidelines for camping gear. The rest of the items are laid out in our camping list.

Tent - Rain fly tent is the preferable choice for protection from the rain and sun.

Proper Tent Stakes

Tarp - Use under or over your tent for protection.

Inflatable pillows are the easiest and most convenient.

Sleeping Pad - used for a cushion under your sleeping bag and a barrier from the cold ground.

Sleeping Bag - Make sure your bag is temperature rated for the area you are visiting.

Propane Lantern - These work best at night and not expensive. Bring extra propane bottles.

Garbage Bags - The should have been clean before your arrived. Leave it clean when you pick up and go.

Matches and Lighter - It’s a good idea to have both just in case.

Rope and Cord - It’s always a good idea to bring along 100 ft. of rope just in case. Bungee cords are useful and can be very handy for a variety of tasks when camping. They are cheap to buy and a canister of 25-50 comes in different sizes.

Flashlight and Batteries - Flashlight sizes are up to you, but don’t forget the extra batteries.

Bug Repellent - Don’t forget to bring an extra can. You won’t be sorry!
